Hazard Mitigation
Every 5
years FEMA requires the City of Tulsa to provide an update to a
program called The Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.
The definition of Mitigation is "to make milder or less
severe", and the purpose of this plan is to minimize the impact on
Tulsa caused by natural disasters such as tornados, ice storms,
floods, and fires as well as many others.
The City of Tulsa is requesting input from Tulsa citizens to
help reduce deaths, injuries, disruption and destruction from those
natural disasters.
